2014 XXL Freshman

As promised, here is the Freshman Class of 2014 brought to you by XXL magazine : Chance The Rapper, Rich Homie Quan, Isaiah Rashad, Ty Dolla Sign, Lil Durk, Kevin Gates, Troy Ave, Vic Mensa, Lil Bibby, Jon Connor, Jarren Benton and August Alsina. Other famous freshman over the years have included Lupe Fiasco, Kendrick Lamar, Yelawolf, Diggy Simmons, J Cole, Nipsey Hussle, and other heavy hitter artists.

Apparently, Ab-Soul’s upcoming project that he has been working on for quite some time now, is being in talks of just “leaking” according to a tweet that the Soul Brother #2 posted on Twitter May 1st. Top Dawg, TDE’s CEO, then responded on Twitter by saying “”I DARE A NIGGA ON MY TEAM LEAK HIS ALBUM…..#TDE.” He then also tweeted “”YOU CANT RUSH GREATNESS…….” Clearly Top Dawg does not want his rapper to just leak his album and pretty much hints that the 3 iii’s rapper’s album will be “GREATNESS.” A few months back Ab-Soul confirmed that he was finishing up work on his album and in March 2014, Top Dawg said that the rapper’s album will be released later on this year in 2014. I don’t know about you all, but as you know, I am a TDE fiend and just want Mr. Black Lip Pastor himself to just leak the album. But then again there are certain ways to go about doing things and perhaps that’s where Top Dawg is coming from in being against Ab-Soul just leaking his album. Great things do happen in due time.
